The Solicitors Regulation Authority have announced that due to the postponement of the closure date for online renewals, the date for opening the process for the process for nominating compliance officers for legal practice (COLPs) and compliance officers for finance and administration (COFAs), will be later than originally planned.

They have stated that they will announce the new dates by 2 March.

The original date for completion of the process was to have been 31 March 2012 – so far the SRA have yet to confirm whether there will be a corresponding extension of that date as well.
