SRA begins revocation of practising certificates
The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has begun the process of writing to those solicitors who have failed to complete the process for renewal of their practising certificates, or registration.
Applications should have been completed by 31 October 2014, but despite reminders many solicitors have still not submitted their renewals and several firms have not submitted their bulk renewal applications .
Paul Philip, Chief Executive, said:
“It would be unfair to the vast majority of solicitors who pay their fees to allow those that don’t, after a number of reminders, to remain in practice.”
