ILCA now officially ILFM
To keep in line with current developments in the world of legal finance, The Institute of Legal Cashiers and Administrators has confirmed that it will as of today be known as The Institute of Legal Finance and Management (ILFM).
The ILCA has long been acknowledged as the foremost organisation in its field and, as such, recognised the need to develop and adapt to the growing, and increasingly varied, roles within the legal industry. The Executive Council of the ILCA canvassed its members for their opinions on the suitability of the current name.
The response conveyed the overwhelming opinion that the titles ?cashier? and ?administrator? no longer adequately described their position within a legal accounts department, and highlighted the feeling amongst members that the role of ?cashier? had become significantly more demanding in recent years.
The transition of the ILCA to its new name of the ILFM name signals the Institute?s ongoing pride in supporting and promoting a membership that now ranges from billing clerks to LDP members.
The ILFM has assured everyone that it will continue to develop under its new name and ultimately achieve the accolade of becoming a regulatory body in its own right within the legal world.
