Role of ILEX Professional Standards
ILEX Professional Standards Limited (IPS) is the Legal Executives regulatory body and was created in October 2008 to ensure that ILEX complies with its responsibilities as an approved regulator of lawyers under the Legal Services Act 2007.
ILEX conduct and complaints
ILEX members are governed by the ILEX Code of Conduct, breach of which will be investigated on accordance with the ILEX complaint handling rules and whihc could result in exclusion or suspension from membership.
ILEX Code of Conduct
All ILEX members are governed by the ILEX Code of Conduct which requires, inter alia, that members behave professionally, observe the same standards as solicitors and ensure clients receive the same support and quality of service as a solicitor provides.
