Scottish Law Agents Society
The Scottish Law Agents Society (SLAS) is a body which is open to all qualified and trainee Scottish solicitors. Its membership is drawn not only from private practice but also from local authorities and other Government bodies and includes solicitors based in other parts of the UK and abroad.
The Society is widely known for its Memorandum Book and the Scottish Law Gazette. The Memorandum Book is a pocket size reference book which is updated and issued every year, whereas the Gazette is issued quarterly.
The Council of the Society meets every month to discuss current topics and to make appropriate recommendations to the Law Society of Scotland, the Scottish Law Commission, Government and other official bodies.
